The Centre of Excellence offers a range of services to SMEs and other Organizations interested in taking advantage of Free and Open Source Software (FOSS) to enhance the effectiveness of their business operations. Our Small Business Resource Center and our virtual Open Source Lab (CoOL) provide access to an expansive range of online resources for business solution consultation, training, software evaluation & downloads, and various technical support forums. Our Small Business Solution Portfolio compiles, certifies and packages implementation support services for a select, best of breed range of FOSS solutions, applicable to core business functionality including office productivity, Intranet & Groupware applications, Line of Business applications including inventory management, procurement & accounting (ERP), customer relationship management (CRM) and human resource management (HRM).

Consider the following available Services:

• Business Consultation: tell us about the business problem that you're trying to solve.. It's likely that there is a FOSS solution in our portfolio that may help solve your problem. If we don't have it, and there's one out there, we'll help you find it, evaluate the match to your requirements, and certify it's maturity and readiness for production.

• Installation and technical Support: FOSS is great software, but still requires a level of technical expertise to properly install, configure and make sure that it works best for your business. We can provide these services through our cadre of trained and experienced technicians. Through our Support Afifliates program the CoE will then be able to provide a responsive, high quality and cost-effective technical support and response service to its Small Business customers.  

• Training: We have compiled various online training resources on this site to facilitate the adoption and effective utilization of FOSS in Business. These are available on demand and complement our expanding range of short workshops and seminars on various topics relating to FOSS and ICT in business.
